First, was his high school basketball coach, George Whitfield, who taught him the importance of setting personal goals and pushing himself as far as possible to achieve them. It’s what made him excel as a player, and it’s what drives him today as a leading businessman.

Fittingly, Robert’s second mentor came in the form of another leading businessman. Robert had already proven successful in the real estate industry, as owner of his own real estate brokerage and investment firm in Northern California. But an opportunity arose—one that could not be passed up—to move to Orange County to become a regional director of marketing of a leading syndication/development company and later CEO of First Dominion Financial Services.

That move was nearly three decades ago and for years, Robert worked alongside Burton Smith, who was the former Commissioner of Real Estate of California. “Mr. Smith,” as he affectionately calls him, instilled in Robert the importance of trust, integrity and confidence, encouraging him to be the best he can be day after day and continue to grow year after year.
